PageRank is another algorithm that is used by Google to determine the importance of a website or web page. This algorithm uses numbers to assign a value (from 1 – 10) to that importance. I often see arguments online about whether or not PageRank (PR) is important or not.
If you don’t know the PageRank of your site, you can either use the Google toolbar or you can go to a site like PRChecker and enter your URL to find out. 0 is the lowest (or least important) and 10 is the highest (or most important). Try benchmarking your site against your competitors to see where it ranks in importance – according to Google.
