Before you embark on your quest to get to the top of the search engine rankings, you need to understand how a search engine works. Once you do that, the techniques that you use in search engine optimization will make much more sense.
The main underlying concept of how search engines work is relevancy. What I mean by that is that they need to find the most relevant websites to the keywords that you are searching for. So if you type into the Google search box “pink hippo“, Google will present to you, what it thinks are the most relevant websites about pink hippos.
